Social Stars

Heartspring's CARE Program is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for our Social Stars groups, a social skills program for individuals with autism spectrum disorders ages 5-21.

The Social Stars groups will meet either once or twice a week from 5 - 6:00 pm for six weeks. The first of several Social Stars groups completed their first six week session, and the CARE program is currently taking applications for upcoming groups throughout 2010. Individual participants will take part in a small group setting that includes a social skills curriculum with fun, educational and engaging activities.

Participation will not be based on first come first served basis. Applications will be reviewed and groups will be formed to best accommodate the needs of each individual. If your child is not chosen for the initial Social Stars groups, additional opportunities will be available throughout the year including additional Social Stars groups, Camp SSTAR and SSTAR Scouts, so please sign up for CARE updates to get up-to-date information regarding opportunities for your child.

The cost for the six week program group meeting once a week is $75.00. The cost for the six week program group meeting twice a week is $150.00. Applications are currently being accepted for all upcoming groups. Applications can be emailed to cerbert@heartspring.org or mailed to:
