The Heartspring CARE Program will host Camp SSTAR June
7-25. Camp SSTAR was created to provide children with Asperger syndrome and high functioning autism the opportunity to enjoy a camp experience in a fun, structured, and nurturing environment. Individuals participate in activities such as hiking, fishing, arts and crafts, a field day, and a variety of team building events, as well as working on an official newscast and yearbook. Camp SSTAR provides opportunities for individuals to engage in activities that focus on social skills, communication, team building, and leadership while promoting lasting friendships.
