Coinciding with World Autism Awareness Day, Heartspring is hosting the 4th Annual Autism CARE Walk Saturday, April 2, 2011. During this event autism supporters will participate in a 2-mile walk in Northeast Wichita and return to the Heartspring campus for food, entertainment, prizes and most importantly, to gain information about autism and services available to them. This event is open to everyone. Last year close to 1,500 parents, educators, caregivers, service providers and advocates were on Heartspring’s campus raising almost $44,000 for the Heartspring CARE Program.

Those who are unable to attend the event can sign up as a virtual walker and raise pledges and awareness through their personal My CARE Walk web page.

Registration and check in begin at 9:00 am. The walk begins at 10:00 am. Registration is free. Walkers can register and raise pledges at www.autismcarewalk.org. For more information, call 316-634-8761.
